Job Description
As a Manufacturing Operator, you will follow procedures, instructions, and sequence of operations to unpack, prepare, and assemble components and units. You will be responsible for moving materials between production, warehouse, and other areas, as well as unpacking and packaging production materials..
Responsibilities
Assemble servers and electronic components by following clear procedures, diagrams, and work instructions.
Handle materials and move products between areas, including lifting up to 50 lbs when needed.
Install parts, rails, labels, and cabling using hand and power tools, ensuring all builds meet specifications.
Perform quality checks, inspections, and basic audits while accurately recording results.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, following ESD and safety standards at all times.
Support team success by communicating effectively, assisting coworkers, and helping train others as needed.
Essential Skills
Experience in manufacturing or production environments, ideally with electronic or server assembly.
Ability to build and assemble components by following detailed instructions, schematics, and documentation.
Comfortable using hand and power tools for precise installation and assembly work.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, and working on ladders when needed.
Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and commitment to quality standards.
Team-oriented with good communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Familiar with manufacturing processes, safety practices, and working in controlled environments (ESD, PPE, secure areas).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with assembly of large servers, including chassis assembly and integration of computer components.
Familiarity with cabling and wiring of racks and server components, including cable routing and organization.
Experience using cable labeling machines and applying labels accurately to meet rack and server specifications.
Experience in electronic assembly, including handling and installing sensitive electronic components.
Experience conducting product and process inspections and documenting results in a quality database.
Familiarity with torque tools and calibration checks as part of daily audits.
Previous experience providing on-the-job training or mentoring to coworkers in a production environment.

Work Environment
The work environment is a high-security, clean manufacturing facility that focuses on electronic and server assembly. You will stand for long periods while working on production lines, using hand tools, power tools, and torque-controlled equipment. The facility follows strict ESD (electrostatic discharge) controls to protect sensitive electronic components, requiring adherence to specific handling procedures and use of ESD-safe equipment. The area can be loud at times, and hearing protection is provided and required as needed. Work involves frequent lifting and moving of materials, working on ladders when necessary, and operating in a structured, process-driven setting where safety, quality, and attention to detail are prioritized.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
