Job Title: Warehouse Associate Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Associate, where you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods within our facility. This position involves receiving and organizing inbound freight, picking and shipping customer orders, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Receive and put away all inbound freight according to procedural standards.

Pick and ship customer orders as well as 3PL items following procedural standards.

Distribute products to and from manufacturing areas.

Rotate stock using FIFO/FEFO methods.

Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse stocking area in compliance with safety rules.

Receive and tag items in the warehouse with barcode labels, pallet tags, and allergen stickers.

Ensure stocked items are organized, allergen separated, and readily accessible.

Inspect items in inventory for defects and damage and report to the Inventory Control Department.

Report quality defects of ingredients to the Quality Control team.

Essential Skills

Proficiency with RF scanning systems.

Experience operating reach trucks and hi-lows.

Knowledge of FIFO system.

Ability to work from pick lists and system-driven reports.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to multitask effectively.

Detail-oriented with standard mathematical skills.

Understanding and application of safety rules and regulations.

Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Ability to build excellent working relationships and collaborate efficiently.

Self-motivated, confident, energetic, and able to operate under pressure.

Experience using warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 3rd shift from 11pm to 7am. The warehouse environment includes dry, refrigerated, and freezer conditions, with regular exposure to moving machinery and mechanical parts. Occasionally, you may work in wet or humid conditions, around temperature extremes, or in areas with fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate. Please note that products manufactured in the facility may contain peanuts, milk, and tree nuts. Physical demands include standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Brunswick, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.25 - $22.25/hr.
