The City of Oshkosh is looking for a skilled, organized, and service-minded professional to join our team in a key administrative support role that helps the library serve the community every day. This is more than an office support position. It is an opportunity to play an important part in the success of a trusted public institution by supporting financial processes, board administration, purchasing, records, personnel coordination, and daily operations. If you are detail-oriented, dependable, and take pride in keeping complex administrative work accurate and moving forward, this could be an excellent fit. Why This Role Matters The person in this position helps ensure the library operates smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with City procedures. From supporting Library Board meetings and reviewing payroll reports to coordinating purchasing and maintaining important records, this role touches many parts of the organization and helps staff stay focused on serving the public. You will also serve as a valued connection between the library and other City departments, especially Finance and Purchasing, while supporting staff, vendors, and members of the public with professionalism and care. What You\'ll Be Doing In this role, you will: Coordinate Library Board agendas, packets, minutes, notices, and follow-up actions Support financial and accounting processes, including payroll review, accounts payable, deposits, reconciliations, refunds, and related documentation Assist with purchasing, procurement support, and inventory coordination Provide administrative human resources support, including onboarding, separations, and recruitment-related tasks Maintain administrative, financial, and operational records in accordance with retention requirements Coordinate routine office and operational functions, including mail, service requests, meeting room administration, and vendor-related issues Support special projects and day-to-day library operations as needed What We\'re Looking For We are seeking someone who is: Highly organized and attentive to detail Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines Skilled at working independently and exercising sound judgment Professional, tactful, and discreet with confidential information Collaborative and committed to excellent internal and external service Ready to learn systems, procedures, and technologies that support modern public service Why Join the City of Oshkosh?
