FT MEDICAL ASSISTANT at the Mountain View Health Center
Salary $23- $31 per hour
The primary role of the Mountain View Health Center (MVHC) Medical Assistant (MA) is to assist the clinic Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Nursing staff in providing care to patients at the MVHC. The MA will ensure proper information is present in the patient's medical record prior to the patient's visit, obtain vital signs and chief complaint for the visit, assist the provider during the examination and provide assistance to the patient and provider following the visit. Patient care information will be appropriately documented in the electronic health record (EHR).
Roles and Responsibilities
Will relay messages from patients and respond to patients per the provider's request.
Adequate supplies will be maintained and ordered by the medical assistant.
Prepares and stocks examination rooms daily.
Ensures necessary information is present in the EHR for the patients visit.
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
Medical Assistant certificate
High school graduate or equivalent
Venipuncture class and current BLS certification required.
Must have good interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with patients, staff, and the general public.
Basic computer skills required
