Job Title: Formulation Manufacturing Technician
Job Description
The Formulation Manufacturing Technician plays a key role in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical assemblies in a GMP-regulated environment. You prepare solutions and production materials, operate and maintain specialized equipment, and perform a range of fabrication, testing, and packaging activities within the Formulation Department to support the production of advanced drug-device combination products.
Responsibilities
Perform setup, verification, and teardown of manufacturing equipment before and after processing to ensure proper operation and compliance with procedures.
Prepare solutions and production materials according to established formulas and standard operating procedures.
Carry out manufacturing tasks including fabrication of components, in-process testing, and final packaging of assemblies.
Accurately document all production activities in manufacturing lot history records to maintain traceability and compliance with GMP requirements.
Clean and sanitize production equipment and the production area to maintain a controlled and safe manufacturing environment.
Utilize pipettes and micro-weight balances to measure and dispense materials with precision.
Perform basic analysis of production and test data as needed to support process control and quality assurance.
Formulate polymers and prepare spray coating formulations according to defined specifications.
Set up coating machines and perform coating operations on balloon catheters, including inspection and folding of coated products.
Prepare excipient formulations and spray coating formulations for use in manufacturing processes.
Follow GMPs, SOPs, and aseptic techniques to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
Adhere to sanitization procedures for equipment and work areas to support cleanroom and manufacturing standards.
Work assigned shifts in the Formulation Department, including some Saturdays as needed, to support production schedules.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of related experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing, specifically within a formulation or similar department.

Work Environment
This role is based in a cleanroom and manufacturing environment where you follow strict GMP, aseptic, and sanitization procedures. You work with laboratory and production equipment such as pipettes, micro-weight balances, coating machines, and other pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing tools. The Formulation Department operates on structured shifts, including openings on first shift (2:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.) and second shift (11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.), with some Saturday work as needed to meet production demands. You can expect a controlled, process-driven setting focused on safety, cleanliness, and compliance with all relevant manufacturing standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.20/hr.
