The Senior Finance Associate provides support to the Finance Department in managing various accounting, budgeting, reporting and audit support functions.
Senior Finance Associate
Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular Full-time, Hybrid. This position is not eligible for relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.
Supervisor: Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist with preparation of the annual operating and capital expenditure budgets.
Assist with preparation of the quarterly operating forecast.
Assist with schedules and journal entries for grant accounting, reporting and reimbursements.
Monitor department revenue and expenses and prepare various analyses in comparison to budget.
Support in maintaining reporting templates, dashboards, and input sheets used for budgeting and financial analysis of campus operations.
Prepare and post journal entries for transactions, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Assist with managing the Financial Data Model (FDM) and Security Roles in Workday and Adaptive Planning.
Work on projects and respond to requests from other Finance and non-Finance groups on campus.
Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Job requirements:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with diverse stakeholders.
Comprehensive understanding of general ledger accounting.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in an accounting, financial planning and analysis or other finance support role.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Workday/Adaptive Planning experience is a plus, but not required.
Compensation:
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
The expectation for this role is that the selected candidate will be available to work onsite and in person. The college does allow for periodic hybrid work flexibility in accordance with the employee handbook.
