Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This role focuses on packaging materials according to detailed instructions, applying secure bands to coils, creating accurate identification tags, and supporting material movement within a manufacturing warehouse. The position combines hands-on packaging work, light forklift operation, and general housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized work area. You will receive training on machine operation and specific packaging procedures to ensure quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities
Package materials according to general packing instructions and specific customer requirements.
Carefully follow written directions to ensure customer-specific packaging standards are met.
Apply side bands securely to coils, following training and safety guidelines.
Create coil identification tags by accurately entering information into a computer system and printing labels.
Attach printed identification labels to bands to ensure proper tracking and traceability.
Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse, typically for up to 10% of the workday.
Spend approximately 5-6 hours per day performing packaging tasks with attention to quality and consistency.
Maintain a clean and safe work area by sweeping and performing general housekeeping duties during the remaining work hours.
Train on and support machine operating tasks as assigned.
Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while handling materials, operating equipment, and performing daily tasks.
Essential Skills
Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience.
Hands-on packaging experience in an industrial or warehouse setting.
Ability to repetitively lift up to 60 pounds safely throughout the shift.
Basic material handling skills, including moving, staging, and organizing products.
Comfort operating or learning to operate a forklift for limited portions of the day.
Willingness to perform general labor tasks, including sweeping and housekeeping.
Ability to follow written instructions and standard operating procedures accurately.
Basic computer skills to enter information and print labels.
Ability to work a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment handling materials and packaging products.
Exposure to machine operation or willingness to train on machine operating tasks.
Familiarity with using a tape measure for basic measurements.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling and secure banding of coils.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing warehouse environment that can be hot, loud, or dirty at times. The facility is heated in the winter but does not have air conditioning in the summer, so conditions may vary with the seasons. The role is performed on-site during a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will work around industrial equipment, including forklifts and packaging machinery, while handling materials and performing physical tasks such as lifting and sweeping.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
