Job Title: Administrative Support General
Job Description
This role provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Plant Manager in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the plant's executive office by combining traditional executive assistant responsibilities with reporting, event coordination, and cross-team support. The position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and discreet professional who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Manage the Plant Manager's calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
Screen and prioritize incoming correspondence, calls, and requests to ensure timely and appropriate responses.
Prepare, edit, and proofread emails, memos, presentations, and other business documents for the leadership team.
Coordinate and prepare agendas, materials, and minutes for leadership and plant meetings.
Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
Process expense reports, invoices, and purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
Act as a liaison between the Plant Manager and internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication.
Compile, generate, and distribute regular operational, production, and performance reports.
Track key metrics and deadlines, following up with relevant departments to ensure timely data submission.
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for reports, records, and documentation.
Support data entry and basic analysis using Excel or other reporting tools as needed.
Plan, organize, and execute plant events such as town halls, employee recognition events, leadership visits, and off-site meetings.
Coordinate event logistics including venue booking, catering, materials preparation, and vendor management.
Manage event budgets and ensure cost-effective execution of meetings and plant events.
Collaborate with HR, Communications, and other teams on employee engagement activities and initiatives.
Provide administrative support to the broader leadership and management team as required.
Assist with onboarding logistics for new hires, including badges, workspace setup, and welcome materials.
Serve as a point of contact for general office and administrative inquiries within the plant.
Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Plant Manager, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, or in a similar administrative support role, ideally within a manufacturing plant or industrial setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Familiarity with reporting or dashboard tools is a plus.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Demonstrated ability to support senior leaders and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
Experience supporting senior leadership in a manufacturing environment.
Event planning or project coordination experience.
Familiarity with plant operations, production terminology, or manufacturing KPIs.
Experience with calendar management and complex scheduling.
Background in general administrative support, including data entry and document management.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as HR and Communications.
Work Environment
This position is based onsite at a manufacturing assembly plant, working five days per week, Monday through Friday. Standard hours are approximately 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

This is a Contract position based out of Flat Rock, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $24.84/hr.
