This role offers an opportunity for a licensed Pharmacist to provide safe, accurate, and efficient prescription fulfillment in a high-volume environment. You will verify prescriptions, oversee pharmacy support staff, and perform final quality checks before medications are packed and shipped, all while complying with state and federal regulations and supporting continuous quality improvement.
Responsibilities
Verify prescriptions and prescription data entered into the pharmacy computer system for accuracy and completeness.
Perform the final quality check on medications in the fulfillment area prior to packing and shipment.
Oversee and guide the daily activities of pharmacy technicians and inventory personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Organize workload, set priorities, and complete assignments in a timely manner while utilizing resources appropriately.
Ensure all pharmacy operations and activities comply with applicable state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
Support and adhere to department quality assurance and quality improvement guidelines and initiatives.
Use basic robotic automation systems as part of the fulfillment and dispensing process.
Navigate and use the pharmacy computer system, including relevant software and tools, to support dispensing and documentation.
Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues related to prescriptions, inventory, and workflow.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and departmental standards.
Lift up to 25 lbs as needed to handle inventory, supplies, and medication orders.
Work primarily in a standing and walking environment throughout the shift.
Work the designated shift schedule and adjust to flexible hours and overtime as business needs require.
Essential Skills
Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of New Jersey.
Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of New York.
At least 1 year of experience working as a licensed Pharmacist.
Ability to navigate MS Office and a Windows-based environment.
Ability to create, edit, save, and send documents using Microsoft Word.
Ability to use Microsoft Outlook for email and scheduling.
Ability to conduct Internet searches to support pharmacy operations.
Ability to work the designated shift and flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to work effectively in a primarily standing and walking environment.
Pharmacy experience, including active use of a pharmacist license.
Retail or fulfillment pharmacy experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of pharmacy experience.
3 years of experience as a Pharmacist in a retail pharmacy, hospital, or managed care setting.
At least 1 year of experience working as a Pharmacist in a fulfillment and/or mail order environment.
PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) or Managed Care experience.
Basic understanding of robotic automation used in pharmacy fulfillment.
Work Environment
This is an onsite role in a pharmacy fulfillment setting that relies on automated and computer-based systems. The position primarily involves standing and walking throughout the shift and requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs when handling medications and supplies. The core schedule is primarily Sunday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm EST, with extended overtime periods starting at 2:00 pm on Sundays or 2:30 pm on weekdays as needed. There may also be occasional needs to support a first shift schedule Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm EST. A minimum of 24 hours per week is provided, with additional hours possible based on business needs. The environment emphasizes compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, use of MS Office and Windows-based applications, and operation of basic robotic automation for medication fulfillment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
