Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Industrial Maintenance Technician supports the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and facility systems in a fast-paced automotive production environment. You will troubleshoot complex equipment issues, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and help maximize equipment uptime while maintaining a safe and compliant workplace.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize equipment downtime.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery and facility assets to improve reliability and extend equipment life.
Support the operation, maintenance, and repair of robotic and automated manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot and modify PLC-controlled equipment, including identifying faults and making program or parameter adjustments as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams to perform accurate repairs and installations.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation to ensure traceability and support continuous improvement.
Assist with spare parts inventory management, including identifying critical spares and supporting maintenance planning activities.
Partner with production, engineering, and leadership teams to resolve equipment issues quickly and support production goals.
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives focused on uptime, reliability, and process optimization.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, safety, and environmental requirements by following established procedures and best practices.
Perform repairs and maintenance on conveyor systems, presses, and other production equipment as needed.
Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules and document findings and corrective actions.
Mentor apprentices and less-experienced maintenance team members by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
Essential Skills
Strong troubleshooting abilities across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Advanced electrical diagnostics skills, including experience with 3-phase power and motor controls.
Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, including identifying faults and making basic program or parameter changes.
Experience troubleshooting and supporting automated manufacturing systems, including robotics and controls.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams.
Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safe electrical work practices.
Hands-on experience with industrial mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repair.
Proficiency in preventive maintenance execution and equipment reliability practices.
Experience in a manufacturing, automotive, industrial, or automated production environment.
Computer proficiency, including use of Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
High School Diploma or GED.
Journeyman Electrician certification, Associate's Degree in a related field, or equivalent maintenance experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Robot programming and teaching experience in an industrial or automated manufacturing setting.
Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and related motor control systems.
Automation and controls experience, including integration and support of PLCs and robotic systems.
Fabrication and welding experience for equipment repair and modification.
Experience repairing conveyor systems, presses, and other high-volume production equipment.
Ability to interpret and work from complex schematics and technical documentation.
Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability improvement initiatives.
Service-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing and automotive production facility operating on a night shift schedule. The standard shift runs from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on a 4-on, 2-off, 4-on, 3-off rotation, with plans to transition to a more traditional continental shift pattern over time. The facility is non-union and not climate controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. You will work around industrial machinery, robotic and automated systems, conveyor lines, and presses, using tools and equipment appropriate for electrical and mechanical maintenance work. Proper safety procedures and personal protective equipment are expected at all times.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $69098.00 - $75982.40/yr.
Benefits start on Day One of employment. Employees can choose from three medical plan options (Gold, Silver, and Bronze) to best fit their needs. Coverage includes medical insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield, dental insurance through Delta Dental, and vision insurance through VSP, providing comprehensive healthcare options for employees and their families.
