Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This role focuses on inspecting, installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, facilities, electrical systems, and other plant systems. The Maintenance Technician ensures reliable operation of all production and facility equipment by troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing systems in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Inspect, install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, facilities, electrical systems, and other plant systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing systems to minimize downtime and support continuous production.
Work with external contractors on major machine repairs and rebuilding projects, ensuring work meets operational and safety standards.
Determine proper layout, assembly, and installation of systems, including routing, mounting, and alignment of components and equipment.
Understand, diagnose, and troubleshoot PLCs and control circuits to resolve automation and control issues.
Use SAP or other CMMS programs to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
Perform industrial maintenance tasks such as wiring, conduit installation, and equipment connections according to electrical and safety codes.
Support production operations by responding promptly to equipment issues and implementing effective corrective actions.
Participate in preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce unplanned downtime.
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and contractors to identify improvement opportunities and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
Essential Skills
At least 5 years of experience working in an industrial maintenance or related environment.
Working knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting, wiring, and conduit installation.
Hands-on experience with hydraulics, including troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic components and systems.
Proficiency with pneumatics, including maintenance and repair of pneumatic systems and controls.
Mechanical maintenance skills for industrial machinery and equipment, including inspection, repair, and adjustment.
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC systems in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of plumbing systems within a plant environment, including basic repairs and maintenance.
Ability to understand and troubleshoot PLCs and control circuits for automated equipment.
Comfort using SAP or other CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs to manage maintenance activities.
Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
Ability to determine proper layout, assembly, and installation of systems in an industrial setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Certification in at least three of the following disciplines: electrical, hydraulics, HVAC, or pneumatics systems.
Welding certification is a plus and can support equipment repair and fabrication needs.
Forklift certification is a plus and may assist with moving equipment and materials safely.
Experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment is highly beneficial.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility focused on producing mattresses and pillows. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and consistent production quality. The position operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with overtime opportunities as needed. Employees work with a variety of industrial equipment and systems, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing infrastructure, supported by SAP or other CMMS tools to manage maintenance activities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $88920.00/yr.
