Job Title: 1st Shift Warehouse Associate
Job Description
The 1st Shift Warehouse Associate accurately picks, stores, and ships manufactured and commercial items while maintaining safe and efficient warehouse operations. This role supports both internal production and customer orders by handling materials, operating forklifts, and performing inventory and equipment maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
Pick manufactured and commercial items in accordance with individual shop orders and deliver them to the appropriate assembly locations or staging areas.
Pick manufactured and commercial items in accordance with individual customer orders and deliver them to the designated shipping area.
Receive items from internal shop orders and accurately record receipts in the warehouse system.
Place items in proper storage locations as designated by the computer system and ensure materials are organized and accessible.
Adjust designated storage areas when necessary to improve safety and prevent damage, and update locations in the system to reflect changes.
Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts and complete daily inspections of material handling equipment, documenting results as required.
Perform related and site-specific warehouse duties as needed to support overall operations.
Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with resolving discrepancies in stock levels.
Perform shipping functions when necessary, including preparing orders for shipment and coordinating with the shipping area.
Request replacement supplies as needed to ensure continuous warehouse operations and adequate stock of materials and packaging.
Perform truck driving functions when necessary, such as making pick-ups and deliveries between vendors and buyers.
Essential Skills
1-3 years of relevant warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience.
Education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma, plus some specialized training.
Certified forklift driver with proven experience operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
Comfort working at heights as required by warehouse storage and material handling tasks.
Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and perform metric conversions.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and warehouse paperwork to ensure accurate picking, storage, and shipping.
Good oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with employees and support coordination across departments.
Ability to follow established procedures and maintain accurate records in warehouse and inventory systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience performing shipping and receiving functions in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Experience participating in inventory cycle counts and basic inventory control.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance and daily inspection of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Ability to drive company trucks for local pick-ups and deliveries between vendors and buyers, when required.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and site-specific duties.

Work Environment
This is a 1st shift position with working hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The role is based in a warehouse and manufacturing setting that involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, working at heights, and moving between storage, assembly, and shipping areas. The environment requires adherence to safety procedures and proper use of equipment to protect people and materials while supporting efficient day-to-day operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
