4th Grade Teacher

Location: Beloit, WI

Pay Rate: $40/hour

Schedule: Full-Time, School Year Position

Position Overview

The 4th Grade Teacher provides instruction to students in a standard classroom setting, delivering curriculum aligned with Wisconsin Academic Standards and district expectations. The teacher supports students' academic growth, social development, and overall well-being while creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in core subject areas, including reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies

Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the diverse learning needs of 4th-grade students

Assess student learning through tests, quizzes, assignments, projects, and informal observations

Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement

Differentiate instruction to support varying academic abilities and learning styles

Collaborate with special education staff, instructional aides, counselors, and administrators

Support and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and accommodations for students with disabilities

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, academics, and behavior

Utilize technology and instructional tools to enhance student learning

Participate in staff meetings, professional development, parent conferences, and school events

Maintain accurate records, attendance, and grading documentation

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field

Valid Wisconsin DPI Teaching License

Knowledge of Wisconsin Academic Standards

Strong classroom management and instructional skills

Ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching at the elementary level, preferably 4th grade

Experience in a public school setting

Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations

Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive practices

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Working Conditions

Classroom-based elementary school setting

Work directly with 4th-grade students throughout the school day

Requires standing, instructing, and supervising students regularly

May include parent communication, school events, and extracurricular responsibilities
