Job Title: Electronics Assembly Technician
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling circuit boards and related sub-assemblies using hand tools, production machinery, and basic computer systems. You will follow detailed, step-by-step instructions, perform quality checks on your work, and contribute to the production of components used across multiple applications. The position is well-suited for individuals with entry-level production experience who are comfortable using basic computer programs and are eager to learn soldering and assembly techniques.
Responsibilities
Assemble circuit boards and sub-assemblies using hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque drivers, and wrenches.
Operate production machinery to apply solder paste and handle smaller electronic components according to established procedures.
Follow step-by-step assembly instructions accessed via computer programs to ensure accurate and consistent builds.
Log into and navigate multiple computer programs at the same time to access the correct instructions for each assembly.
Perform quality checks on completed work before moving it to the next stage of production, ensuring all components meet required standards.
Use basic computer programs daily to review instructions, record production information, and support workflow.
Assist with general production tasks such as picking and packaging components when needed to support overall output.
Handle soldering tasks, when applicable, to assemble and secure electronic components on circuit boards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following facility guidelines for safety and quality.
Collaborate with leads, supervisors, and training staff to learn new processes, improve performance, and support continuous improvement.
Essential Skills
Ability to use hand tools including screwdrivers, torque drivers, and wrenches safely and accurately.
Comfort using basic computer programs and logging into multiple systems to access instructions.
Entry-level production experience or familiarity with general production environments.
Capability to perform detailed assembly work while following step-by-step instructions.
Attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks on completed assemblies.
Basic understanding of or exposure to soldering processes for electronic components.
Ability to perform general production tasks such as picking and packaging when required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1 year of assembly experience preferred.
1-2 years of soldering experience can lead to higher starting pay.
Any amount of picking and packaging experience is helpful.
Background in customer service roles is beneficial, as individuals from these roles tend to perform well.
Willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and processes through on-the-job training.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with training staff, leads, and supervisors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Appleton, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.30/hr.
