Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations for a tax and accounting firm in Okemos. This contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping administrative processes organized, providing attentive front-desk support, and handling a mix of clerical and basic financial tasks. The right candidate will be comfortable managing calls, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to a smooth, efficient workplace. Part-Time Monday-Thursday 8:00AM - 1:00PM

Responsibilities:

Manage incoming phone calls and greet visitors in a courteous manner, ensuring a positive experience for clients and staff.

Provide day-to-day administrative support by organizing documents, maintaining files, and assisting with general office coordination.

Enter and update information in company records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Support front-office operations by handling receptionist-related tasks and directing inquiries to the appropriate team members.

Assist with basic accounting activities, including preparing routine financial records and supporting office-related transactions.

Perform bookkeeping support tasks such as tracking entries, reconciling simple records, and maintaining organized documentation.

Help maintain an orderly office environment by monitoring administrative needs and assisting with ongoing clerical priorities

Requirements

Prior experience in an administrative, office support, or receptionist capacity.

Ability to manage inbound calls professionally while handling multiple tasks efficiently.

Strong data entry skills with consistent accuracy and attention to detail.

Familiarity with general administrative office procedures and document management.

Basic understanding of accounting support functions and bookkeeping practices.

Clear written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.

Proficiency with standard office software and comfort learning internal systems as needed.
