Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $140,000 - $150,000

Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Production Supervisor / Operations Manager to lead a high-performing manufacturing value stream within an electrical and industrial production environment. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end production operations from raw materials through finished goods delivery, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience in manufacturing or construction-based electrical environments with a deep focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of the entire manufacturing value stream, overseeing all processes from raw material acquisition to product delivery.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize value stream efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance overall productivity.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing value stream, including waste reduction, process optimization, and cost savings using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure seamless coordination within the value stream.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the value stream, regularly monitor and report on performance metrics, and implement data-driven decision-making processes.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team within the value stream, fostering accountability, teamwork, and growth, and providing coaching and support to enhance skills.

Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards; implement and maintain quality control procedures.

Manage resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands and ensure a stable, cost-effective supply chain.

Contribute to strategic planning for long-term manufacturing goals, identifying opportunities for capacity expansion and technological improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with 7+ years of experience.

Proven leadership experience within manufacturing, focusing on value stream management.

Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence.

Exposure to computer screens for extended periods.

Sitting for extended periods.

Reaching by extending hands or arms in any direction.

Finger dexterity for manipulating objects, such as using a keyboard.

Listening, understanding spoken information, and communicating effectively.

Reading and comprehending written information.

Applying general rules to specific problems to produce logical answers.
