JOB REQUIREMENTS: Seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy-Duty Truck Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our team in. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel trucks, trailers, and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Will be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and engine issues Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems Conduct DOT inspections and ensure equipment meets safety standards Troubleshoot engine performance and drivability concerns Complete brake repairs, tire replacements, alignments, and suspension work Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Use diagnostic software and tools to identify equipment issues Respond to emergency repair needs as required Keep shop and work areas clean, organized, and safe Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations Communicate repair status and equipment concerns with management and drivers Fabricate custom parts or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet specific operational needs. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed; ensure all work complies with specifications and safety standards. ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy-duty truck technician preferred Knowledge of diesel engines, Reefer trailers, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brakes Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently CDL license preferred DOT inspection certification is a plus Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable attendance and strong work ethic ** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail a Rsum: tracyk@service1ststaffing.com Call For Appointment: 715-898-1275 This position is listed by a private employment agency.
