Maintenance Assistant

JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Assist with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plastic injection molding machines and related production equipment - Diagnose issues with injection molding equipment and assist with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs - Perform preventative maintenance on molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and manufacturing systems - Assist with machine adjustments, repairs, and equipment improvements to minimize production downtime - Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify root causes to support timely repairs - Perform basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance tasks - Assist with facility maintenance, including general building repairs, equipment upkeep, and maintenance projects - Support maintenance technicians with installations, repairs, and continuous improvement projects - Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs completed, and parts used - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all safety procedures ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Previous experience working with plastic injection molding machines and understanding their operation and maintenance requirements - Experience troubleshooting and repairing injection molding equipment - Previous industrial maintenance or facility maintenance experience preferred - Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems - Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation - Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude - Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment - Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment - Preferred experience in a plastics manufacturing environment - Preferred knowledge of injection molding processes, controls, and auxiliary equipment - Preferred experience with preventative maintenance programs - Preferred welding, fabrication, or machining experience is a plus - Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as needed - Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in a manufacturing environment - Ability to safely operate tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks ** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail a Rsum: teresa.considine@qpsemployment.com Apply Online: https://jobs.qpsemployment.com/jobs/812243 This position is listed by a private employment agency.
