JR Buyer / Expeditor | $18+ - DOE

Monday - Friday, Day Shift

An established manufacturing company in Pocahontas, IA is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to fill their long-term temporary JR Buyer / Expeditor opening! The JR Buyer / Expeditor will support purchasing activities and expedite orders to ensure material availability. Individuals with prior administrative or supply chain experience are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities:

Follow up with suppliers on open purchase orders to confirm delivery dates and shipment status

Act as a support point of contact between the company and suppliers for order-related communication

Support Manufacturing and Planning teams by addressing material availability concerns

Update ERP system with accurate supplier commits, delivery dates, and order status notes

Track and report late orders, shortages, and potential delivery risks

Assist with resolving basic discrepancies related to quantities, delivery dates, and receipts

Assist with data entry and maintenance of purchasing information in ERP systems

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate degree in Business/Supply Chain is a plus)

0-2 years of experience in administrative, customer service, logistics, or supply chain support

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook

Strong communication skills and a commitment to follow-through

Ability to learn ERP/MRP systems and supply chain concepts

Must have good attendance and professional accountability

Benefits & Pay:

Pay rate: $18.00/hr+ (Depending on Experience)

Paid every Friday
