Want to work with a cohesive team with a mission to improve the health of Idahoans within the Division of Behavioral Health? The System Design and Implementation Bureau is hiring a position with the Adult Mental Health Unit.
The position of Human Services Program Specialist will oversee the community development of consumer-focused programs targeted for adults in Idaho. They will coordinate with other DHW Divisions, tribes and appropriate boards and councils and work closely with the other bureaus to ensure successful implementation and completion of contracts and to create internal and external awareness of their programs and services; perform related work.
This position can be located in Coeur d'Alene, Lewiston, Twin Falls and Boise.
This position may be eligible for limited telework after successful completion of probation and necessary training. Approval to telecommute is not guaranteed and subject to termination at any time.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
Develop contracts, programs, and implementation methods.
Manages and monitors contracts with external partners.
Assist with budget tracking and financial monitoring.
Compiles and analyzes data and information to identify program and services needs and resources.
Research state activities for compliance with state and federal requirements, and looks at evidenced based practices that would benefit Idaho's behavioral health system.
Consults on problems and develops resolutions.
Develops and disseminates information on new technologies, service delivery models, improved practices, and research findings.
Analyze data to understand impact and help demonstrate return on investment (ROI).
Develop and/or update guidance documents, tools, or resources as needed.
Managing multiple priorities at once while meeting deadlines and staying organized by taking a proactive approach to workload and anticipated needs and challenges.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must possess all the minimum and specialty minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Considerable knowledge of social, psychological, or rehabilitative services, principles, and methods. Typically gained by a Masters (or higher) degree in a behavioral/social science, social work, psychology, psychosocial rehabilitation or closely related field, OR a bachelor's degree in a behavioral/social science, social work, psychology, psychosocial rehabilitation AND 1 year relevant experience or closely related field OR State licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418 OR 4 - 5 years' experience directly related to subject area OR combination of coursework and experience that represents the knowledge level above.
Experience working with public social/rehabilitative service delivery systems. Typically gained by approximately two years of experience with public social/rehabilitative service delivery systems.
Experience planning, implementing, and overseeing a community-based social/rehabilitative service program to include community organization. Typically this requirement is met through leadership experience participating in a community effort to plan, implement, and oversee a social/rehabilitative service program.
Below is preferred experience. It is not required for the position but applicants with this experience may receive consideration over other applicants.
Knowledge of the procurement process/contract development and/or monitoring.
Experience with managing budgets.
Experience analyzing data and Return on Investment.
Experience working with a team in person and virtually.
