Responsibilities You will work complex projects and tasks for implementing new technologies into the current environment while ensuring interoperability of dependent IT services and information systems. You will analyze performance and event management indicators and make configuration changes to optimize and improve functionality of IT services and information systems. You will create and maintain system documentation in accordance with security policies and standards in support of managed systems and applications. You will conduct analysis and develop solutions to resolve complex issues affecting IT services and information systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You are required to have information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following six competencies, as defined: Attention to Detail-Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. In addition to your experience demonstrating the nine competencies above, you are required to have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise IT systems, databases, backup and recovery solutions, and system documentation while complying with security requirements. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.
