Mortgage Loan Assistant/Processor

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Due to an upcoming retirement, Bank of Luxemburg is looking to hire a Mortgage Loan Assistant/Process to join our team in Casco! Position Summary: As an employee of the Bank, supports company culture and mission statement to \"Have a Positive Impact on People\'s Lives\". Responsible for the process of collecting loan data, preparing loan documents and loading the loans to the core system. The ability to effectively manage high volume transactions with accuracy and attention to detail. Assists lenders by researching and solving customer inquiries on their accounts. Promotes other bank products and services to customers as needed. Principal Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Serves as a Loan Assistant/Processor for Assigned Lenders A. Prepares and sends initial disclosures within company policy and regulatory deadlines, verifying accuracy of documents and fees. B. Orders and reviews title work, appraisals/evaluations, flood, payoffs, HOI, PMI, and verifications; monitors for timely receipt and follows up as needed. C. Supports lenders with loan progress, exceptions, and outstanding documentation; acts as backup to set closing dates and answer borrower questions. D. Adheres to rate lock/pricing practices for investor and portfolio loans E. Prepares and reviews Pre-Closing Disclosure for accuracy and timeliness; prepares closing packages and disbursement/payoff checks. F. Gathers HMDA data and records in Loan Origination System (LOS). G. Prepares documentation for renewals/extensions. H. Posts loan payments and processes line-of-credit transactions. I. Reviews, verifies all required data and documents for accuracy prior to uploading loan to the core system and the document storage system. J. Submits legal documents for recording. K. Tracks final title policies, recorded mortgages, and missing documents. L. Monitors construction draw requests and coordinates disbursements after lender approval. 2. Investor Management A. Gathers and prepares initial loan documentation for investor purchase. B. Reviews daily payoff reports and submits required information for monthly payments. 3. Department Point of Contact A. Responds to questions from coworkers, loan officers, underwriters, and other departments, as well as from borrowers, realtors, and third party vendors. B. Assists in bank examinations and audits as needed. 4. System Maintenance A. Maintains customer profiles in LOS and core system. B. Pulls system tracking report weekly to monitor exceptions. Follows up with lenders, customers and vendors to clear exceptions. C. Updates exception items in the system. ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree along with three years related financial industry experience required or 5 or more years of equivalent work experience. Word, Excel, and basic computer knowledge required. Must be able to work within deadlines. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work independently. Strong customer service skills.
