Responsibilities*
Manage Supply Chain Team members. Hire, coach, orient, discipline and conduct performance evaluations.
Implement and oversees the standardized Supply Chain, electronic inventory OR operations and processes for UH, Mott, and CVC, as well as the Procedural areas of CPU, IR and Peds Cath. Develop and monitor a Competency Model for OR Supply Chain and Procedural Area personnel.
Develop ongoing educational opportunities, unique to health care supply chain and provide content or obtain outside resources for ongoing employee education.
Provides guidance and direction, on all OR and Procedural area supply initiatives, to ensure that all items are available: R ight P roduct, R ight Q uantity, R ight P lace, and R ight T ime, to meet clinical needs.
Create a team culture for continuous improvements, relentlessly driving value enhancements personally and through the OR and Procedural Areas' supply chain teams.
Analyzes and monitor the supply chain and inventory scorecard metrics and key performance indicators, to ensure accuracy, waste reduction and the achievement of supply chain goals and objectives.
Maintain effective communication with clinicians, directors and leadership teams on supply chain initiatives and business plan results.
Collaborates with Supply Chain Strategy and Procurement Staff on technical solutions, policies, and practices to ensure standardization across the medical center.
Develop an annual Supply Chain OR and Procedural Area business plan to ensure alignment with clinicians and other stakeholders. Prepares an annual OR Supply Chain budget for capital, personnel and expenses.
Collaborates with suppliers to ensure accurate consignment levels, quality, and the achievement of delivery expectations.
Implement technical solutions to track, procure and report on supply chain activities and expenses.
Assist in mentoring and collaborating with the Supply Chain Teams in the Cardiac Procedures Unit, Interventional Radiology and Pediatric Cardiology.
Assist in the design, implementation and monitoring of IT solutions and integration for supply tracking, usage, and expenses.
Interfaces with all supply chain areas: Contracts and Procurement, Transactional Purchasing, Vendors and Product Safety and Recall. Supports overall UMH Supply Chain Objectives.
Supervision Exercised:
OR Supply Chain at UH, Mott, and CVC; as well as joint responsibility for the Cardiac Procedures Unit, IR, and Peds Cath with the Directors for those Procedural Areas
Supervision Received:
Periop Services Admin Director and dotted line to the Director, Supply Chain Strategy & Procurement
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, healthcare administration, logistics, operations management, or a related field.
Five or more years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, healthcare operations, materials management, or a related area.
Prior supervisory, management, or team leadership experience.
Knowledge of inventory management, supply planning, procurement processes, distribution, and supply chain performance metrics.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Desired Qualifications*
Master Degree in Supply Chain or other relevant field
Experience with medical products, OR surgeries and clinical practices
Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain processes in a healthcare setting
Experience developing Operational and Strategic Plans
