This position is for anAdministrative Coordinator 2position at theSwitchboard/Front Gatelocated atCentral Louisiana State Hospitalin Pineville, Louisiana.
This position is responsible for supporting the operations of CLSH Switchboard Department with telecommunication and administrative matters. The Switchboard Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Administrative Coordinator 2 plays a vital role for the Louisiana Department of Health in the Behavioral Health community by utilizing CLSH's values and mission to deliver quality and effective care to our patients, and ensuring our facilities are maintained accordingly. The hospital is highly committed to cooperative work with other state agencies and with the state and regional mental health program to insure the integration and coordination of hospital-community services into a comprehensive system of mental health care.

Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Greet visitors, notify appropriate unit or department of the visitor, complete visitor's pass, log information, and direct visitors to the appropriate location.
Answer all incoming and in-house calls and route to desired destination quickly, providing accurate information and directions as needed.
Document unusual incidents witnessed regarding patients, visitors, or employees and notify required staff.
Take messages, page or call appropriate personnel, and deliver messages.
Notify Security and other staff/authorities as necessary, and document.
Call ambulance when requested and notify Security to meet them at front gate and escort to unit. Also, notify On Duty (OD) Registered Nurse, Administrator On Duty (AOD), and document.
Attends or conducts in-service training to maintain knowledge of all CLSH, OBH, LDH, and Civil Service policies, procedures, and rules, as well as meeting required standards.
