Description

We are looking for a compassionate Bilingual Customer Experience Specialist to support a mission-driven non-profit organization in San Diego, California. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced contact center environment and is committed to helping individuals access essential community resources and support. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for incoming inquiries while delivering thoughtful, accurate, and attentive assistance. You will also work closely with internal teams to ensure each interaction is handled efficiently and with care.

Responsibilities:

Handle incoming calls and inquiries, offering clear guidance, service information, and appropriate referrals based on each caller's needs.

Record client interactions in web-based platforms with accuracy and timeliness to maintain complete and reliable case information.

Stay informed about available programs, services, and community resources in order to provide current and relevant support.

Partner with colleagues and cross-functional teams to resolve concerns and connect clients with the right assistance.

Deliver a high level of care and empathy in every phone, chat, or written interaction.

Use CRM, call center, and related computer systems to manage communications, track activity, and support service delivery.

Assist with customer questions related to benefits, billing, and general service navigation as needed.

Requirements

Bilingual in Spanish and English required

At least 1 year of experience in a customer service or call center role, preferably handling inbound communications.

Associate's degree preferred; additional education beyond high school combined with relevant experience will also be considered.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with diverse populations.

Experience using web-based applications, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Background in non-profit services, public health, social work, psychology, sociology, criminology, or a related field is preferred.

Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is strongly preferred.

Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce and other customer support technologies is a plus.
