Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a collaborative accounting team supporting multiple client accounts. This position is ideal for an detail oriented accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and partnering with internal teams to deliver high-quality financial reporting and client service.

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in month-end close activities, reconciliations, accounts receivable processing, financial reporting, and cash management while helping identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations.

Support month-end and year-end close processes.

Process cash receipts and maintain accurate accounting records.

Prepare and process customer invoices and monitor accounts receivable activity.

Monitor daily cash balances and assist with cash management functions.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.

Assist with internal financial reporting and special projects as needed.

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely billing, collections, and financial reporting.

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, workflows, and system efficiencies.

Support additional accounting and operational initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

1-3+ years of accounting experience, including exposure to reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.

Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles.

Experience with accounts receivable, cash applications, and bank reconciliations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Self-starter with a proactive approach to process improvement and client service.

Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
