Mechanical Engineer | 100% Remote (ET/CT)

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working through challenging designs, and being part of a team that genuinely supports each other. This is a fully remote opportunity where you'll stay hands-on with meaningful engineering work while continuing to grow your skillset.

In this role, you'll help drive engineering projects forward-from early problem-solving through design and evaluation-while working on systems that truly matter. You'll collaborate closely with a strong team, contribute ideas, and play a key role in delivering practical, high-quality solutions to clients in the nuclear energy space.

What You'll Be Doing

Analyze engineering problems and define performance requirements for systems, components, and processes

Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize work and deliver on project goals

Develop and recommend practical, client-focused solutions

Review complex calculations, designs, and technical deliverables

Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems using core engineering principles (mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, etc.)

Support planning efforts, including scheduling, resource needs, and specialized equipment recommendations

What You Bring

5-15 years of mechanical engineering experience

Background in nuclear power plant design

Strong working knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations

Familiarity with Nuclear Quality Assurance Standards

Experience with AutoCAD and design work

BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

Nice to Have

Understanding of Engineering Change Control processes within nuclear utilities

Ability to build strong working relationships with plant stakeholders and clients

Strong communication and organization skills-you're someone people trust and enjoy working with

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $90.00/hr.
