The Center for Disability Services offers hope, innovation and achievement to the people we support. For 80 years, we have been one of upstate New York's largest providers of programs and services for individuals who have disabilities. Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere.

We are searching for a Physical Therapist to join our Education department!

This position works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members including teachers, teacher assistants, school districts, and families to ensure quality, state-of-the-art, cost effective services to all students.

Responsibilities:

Provides quality physical therapy services

Assesses current level of function

Develops and implements an appropriate treatment plan

Maintains complete and accurate clinical documentation

Evaluates treatment outcomes and modifies treatment plans as needed

Completes student evaluation as assigned, which include initial evaluations, reevaluations, and wheelchair evaluations

Completes report cards and annual student reviews

Supervises assigned Physical Therapy Assistants or student interns as needed

Reviews and cosigns documentation completed by Physical Therapy Assistants and students as assigned

Communicates with interdisciplinary team members, caregivers, vendors, school districts and county service providers

Maintains clinical and professional knowledge base

Complies with Federal, State and local legal and professional requirements

Requirements:

Graduate degree (Doctorate/Masters) in field of Physical Therapy is required.

Experience working with individuals who have Developmental Disabilities.

Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Compensation Range:

$67,002.00 - $81,164.95
