What You'll Do
As a CNA, you'll play a vital role in supporting both patient care and hospital operations by:
Assisting patients with daily needs while promoting comfort, dignity, and safety
Supporting patient nutrition services and meal delivery processes
Assisting patients with menu selections while ensuring compliance with prescribed diets and dietary restrictions
Communicating patient needs and concerns to the healthcare team
Maintaining accurate patient information and documentation
Supporting department operations through clerical and administrative responsibilities
Assisting with food service, tray line, and departmental tasks as needed
Following all safety, infection prevention, HIPAA, and patient care protocols
Contributing to a positive, compassionate patient experience
Qualifications
? Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
? Minimum of 5 years of bedside clinical experience
? Current BLS certification (CIRH ONLY)
? Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
? Ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs direct patient care under the direct supervision of a RN or LPN/LVN or other licensed medical professional. The CNA/NA performs a variety of individualized patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comforts of patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains patient confidentiality of all clients
Performs duties within scope of practice, as assigned, in an accurate and timely manner
Adheres to facility/client policy, procedures and protocols at all times
Assists doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers with treatments, procedures, and tests being performed in a variety of patient care settings
Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions
Notifies the supervising nurse of any abnormal findings or conditions
Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in meeting the needs of all facilities
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Prefer one year experience as a certified nursing assistant within the last three years
Graduate from certified nursing assistant program with subsequent documentation as a certified nursing assistant per state requirements with proof of verification as being an active certification and in good-standing
Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clerical functions
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
Current CPR if applicable
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
Computer proficiency required
Must be at least 18 years of age
