Project Overview:
Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). Brownsville, Texas is a city known for its diverse history, tradition, and rich culture. Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead construction automation efforts for complex projects, using database management, programming skills, and 3D tools. You will establish and administer the portfolio of construction automation applications on the jobsite and data requirements. You will review performance and recommend adjustments to tailor solutions to support strategy and compliance. #LI-BH1
Major Responsibilities:
Establishes and administers the suite of Construction applications on the project, includes, but is not limited to TEAMWorks, WITS (Weld and Welder tracking system), Unifier, Completions Module, Preservation and Maintenance Module and Measuring and Test Equipment?
Provides automation support to teams on project, including setup, training, application and process, software quality assurance and control, reporting, database administration, and close-out of all construction automation software's and applications
Coordinates with design engineering, procurement, project controls and other departments to establish automated data transfer between applications ?
Arranges, prepares, and conducts meetings, workshops, and presentations as required?
Assists with executing the project automation plan?
Evaluates and coordinates the implementation of new automation modules and tools?
Tests and supports data integration of new releases of production software/programs?
Customizes applications as required by customer?
Prepares user guides and training material and delivers training?
Develops performance curves, metrics, trackers, and user feedback to show trends and use in improvements?
Applies knowledge of database management, programming skills, and 3D tools, to support team and project construction planning, work packaging, progress reporting, material management, turnover/completions, workforce management and timekeeping
Coordinate construction requirements with project IT lead/manager to ensure they're incorporated in the project automation plan
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience
Extensive knowledge of TEAMWorks and associated applications is required.
Experience with other Bechtel Standard applications, including PTR, SETROUTE, BPS and InfoWorks is desirable.
A good understanding of Bechtel standard construction work processes and procedures is desirable.
Advanced level capability with MS Excel and Access is required. Experience with other database platforms is desirable.
Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
Additional Information:
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as required that may include but not limited to nightshift, or split shift. Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
