Summary About the Position: This position is with US Army 1st Special Forces Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Responsibilities Serves as the focal point within 1st SFC(A) providing logistic management and advice, and for identifying/resolving issues/problem of a procedural and technical nature in logistic operations, planning or program management. Research, analyses, and compiles data for briefs and reports. Serves as the Contract Officer Representative (COR) for Task Order which manages contractors located in both Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) locations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of logistics programs and/or operations; 2) technical knowledge with supply program relationships, concepts, and methodologies pertaining to supply/ maintenance areas of logistics operations; 3) demonstrate knowledge to provide advisory of the Logistics regulations, policies, doctrine, and procedures; 4) oral and written communication to provide recommendations to staff and higher headquarters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a(n) Supply Management Career Field position. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
