Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Job Description
The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in the accurate and timely movement of goods throughout the facility. Working under direct supervision and following established guidelines, this position focuses on receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. The role involves interpreting warehouse documents, preparing merchandise for distribution, and assembling customer orders to support efficient shipping operations.
Responsibilities
Generate manifests for dispatch and confirm customer and stock orders using the warehouse computer system.
Interpret various warehouse documents to identify items that need to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Open cartons, sort merchandise, and relocate items from receiving or production areas to designated storage locations.
Verify merchandise documentation and accurately record incoming merchandise by part number and quantity.
Organize and place merchandise on racks, shelves, totes, or bins according to a predetermined sequence.
Prepare products for distribution within the facility, ensuring items are correctly staged and ready for shipment.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or conveyors for transfer to packing or shipping departments.
Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products in line with established procedures and guidelines.
Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
Create and enter records for manifests into the warehouse computer system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
Use RF scanners and other warehouse tools to support picking, packing, and shipping activities.
Follow all safety protocols while working around forklifts, hand carts, and other material handling equipment.
Maintain an organized and clean work area to support efficient warehouse operations.
Essential Skills
Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
Basic understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
Comfort working with RF scanners and warehouse computer systems to enter and retrieve data.
Ability to interpret warehouse documents and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Strong attention to detail when verifying documentation and recording parts and quantities.
Ability to organize merchandise according to defined sequences and storage methods.
Capability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment with moving equipment.
Physical ability to stand, walk, sort, and move merchandise throughout the shift.
0-6 months of warehouse experience preferred, with willingness to learn and follow established guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience as a warehouse associate, material handler, order puller, or in similar roles is an advantage.
Familiarity with picking, packing, and shipping processes in a warehouse setting.
Experience operating or working around forklifts and other material handling equipment is helpful.
Willingness to obtain certification on CROWN trucks upon permanent hire; no prior certification required.
Ability to work effectively under direct supervision and as part of a team.
Strong sense of safety awareness in narrow aisles with active equipment traffic.

Work Environment
The role is based in a fast-paced warehouse with narrow aisles where forklifts and hand carts frequently navigate in safety-conscious directions. The environment is non-climate-controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. The facility enforces strict safety and operational policies, including a no-cellphone and no-electronics rule inside the warehouse to maintain focus and reduce hazards. Closed-toe shoes are required at all times, and you will regularly move through active warehouse areas while working with merchandise, equipment, and storage systems.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
