As an? Account Manager , you will market voluntary products to prospects and current clients and services existing accounts. Reviews specific information regarding plan design, rates, summaries, proposals implementation of plans and enrollment. Works with carriers to develop rate quotes, underwriting and eligibility. Prepares presentation materials, employee communications and enrollments, implements and maintains plans, and performs special projects.
Your job responsibilities as a n Account Manager :
Markets voluntary benefit plans by explainingfeaturesand merits of options depending on client goals.
Prepares new or renewal presentation material by obtaining quotes from carriers.
Coordinates data and rates from carriers, including any plandesignalternatives and commission changes.
Reviews plan documents for completeness and accuracy.
Coordinates the implementation of new plans and policies.
Assistswith creating communication material for clients and prospects.
Trains clients on requirements for administering the plan;assistsclients in setting up internal procedures as needed.
Attends or conducts enrollment meetings andassistswith new hire communication and open enrollment.
Assistsclients in obtaining complete employee enrollment ona timelybasis andensuringcarrier receives all required information.
Attendsclient meetings,documentsall client meetings and phone callsregardingcoverages and pertinent information.
Assistsclients in canceling and making any changes to their insurance coverage.
Assistsclients with claims matters.
Answers client questionsregardingprocedural matters and plan provisions.
Monitors product changesofcarriers and in the industry.
Provides administrative support to the Voluntary Benefits Department.
Maintains active involvement with targeted professional, civic and charitable organizations to develop and nurture HUB Great Plains' image.
Perform otherdutiesas necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
2 years of experience in benefits brokerage, insurance or employee benefits customer service, account administration, or a related field preferred
An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of minimum qualifications
State life and health insurance license, or ability to obtain,required
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability towritereports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation, and to effectively present information to clients and internal stakeholders
Comfortable interpreting business publications, professional journals, and regulatory materials
Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to calculate percentages, interest, commissions, and apply concepts from basic algebra and geometry
Ability to apply common-sense reasoning and follow instructions delivered in written, oral, or diagram form
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to assess information, develop alternatives, and implement effective solutions
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; ability to adapt tonew technologiesand use them to improve processes
Strong organizational and planning skills; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to team success
High ethical standards and professionalism; committed to upholding organizational values and fostering an inclusive, respectful workplace
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to high-quality service and continuous improvement
