The Airborne Radar Electronics Design (ARED) department is seeking a highly motivated, experienced? Hardware Digital CCA Designer ? to work on?Radar Control?and?Radar Processor electronics?product development for defense applications.
The position is available in El Segundo, California.?
What You Will Do:
The candidate will be responsible for digital circuit card design during hardware development and integration for Airborne Radar applications. They will work effectively in a cross-functional team environment under senior engineering guidance while also completing tasks independently. Responsibilities include performing component obsolescence evaluations, selecting electrical parts, participating in vendor trade studies, and conducting Signal Integrity and Power Integrity analyses. The candidate will guide junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams-including systems, mechanical, and software-and deliver technical presentations. They will also work with government personnel and programs to define, refine, and validate hardware requirements for compliance.
This position may require occasional business-related travel.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires aBachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
5+ years of applicable experience focused on architecting, designing, implementing, and testing digitalCircuit Card Assembly (CCA)designs.
Experience with high-speed mixed signal circuit card design and/or high-density, high-speed digital circuit card design.
Experience in bus standards protocol such as:sRIO,SpaceWire, VME, PCI, PCIe, VPX, and Gb Ethernet.
Experience designinghardware boards that houseXilinx and Altera FPGAs.
The ability to obtain andmaintaina U.S. government issued security clearance post-start isrequired. U.S. citizenship isrequired, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Possess skills to handle fast pace and dynamic product development environment.
Strong teamplayer with good interpersonal skills as well as excellent written/verbal communication skills.
7+ years of applicable experiencefocused on architecting, designing, implementing, and testing digital Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) designs.
Experience managing and presenting technical data to stakeholders and customers in design reviews and technical interchange meetings.
Embedded Softwareand Firmwareknowledge and experience
Experience with Simulation tools such asSymulink,Modelsim; Logic Bus Analyzers, In-Circuit Emulators/Debugger
C or C++, LabView,Matlab
Experience with Electronic Circuit Simulators such as PSpice
Familiar with Failure Analysis and worst-case analysis,HSpice/PSpice, MentorxDx-DesignerHyperlynx
Mastersof Science degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering is desirable.

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
