Job Title: Industrial Painter
Job Description
This role focuses on industrial painting in a dedicated paint building, using a spray gun and polyurethane paint to finish parts and equipment. You may also operate blasting equipment as needed. The position is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. You will work in a small team of 2-3 people and will often handle multiple tasks independently while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Apply polyurethane paint using a spray gun to industrial parts and equipment in the paint building.
Operate blasting equipment to prepare surfaces for painting when required.
Perform industrial painting tasks that may also draw on experience from automotive, commercial, or residential painting.
Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily work.
Work independently in a small team environment, taking ownership of assigned tasks and projects.
Learn and operate additional shop machines and equipment as needed to support production.
Troubleshoot basic equipment and process issues to maintain smooth workflow and consistent quality.
Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment while painting and blasting.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in the paint building and related shop spaces.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work and meet production goals.
Essential Skills
At least 6 months of painting experience, which may be industrial, automotive, commercial, or residential.
Hands-on experience using a spray gun for painting applications.
Ability to perform industrial painting tasks with attention to detail and consistent quality.
Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as part of regular job duties.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a small team environment.
Willingness and aptitude to learn how to run other machines and equipment in the shop.
Basic troubleshooting ability to identify and resolve issues with painting or blasting processes.
Comfort working in a blue-collar, shop-based environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with industrial painting, blasting, industrial paint, or powder coating is a plus.
Experience in construction, fabrication, or similar hands-on trades can be beneficial.
Interest in learning welding, fabrication, or advanced industrial painting techniques.
Ability to adapt to different tasks and support various shop operations as needed.

Work Environment
The work takes place across three different buildings in a very blue-collar, laid-back shop setting that is connected to a gas station. The paint building houses spray gun and polyurethane painting operations, as well as blasting equipment. You will work closely with a small team of 2-3 people and often operate independently. The environment is hands-on and production-focused, with opportunities to work on various machines and learn new trades such as welding and fabrication. Appropriate work attire and safety gear are expected for a shop and industrial painting environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Loretto, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
