Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
This role oversees all maintenance activities within a large, climate-controlled distribution operation totaling 800,000 square feet. You will support both an existing 500,000 square foot facility and an additional 300,000 square foot site, working on a wide range of projects including equipment installation, shelving fabrication, and plumbing. The position requires a well-rounded technician who can handle diverse mechanical and electrical tasks and keep the facility running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on facility equipment, including conveyor systems and related mechanical components.
Install new equipment and systems within the distribution facilities, ensuring proper setup, safety, and functionality.
Fabricate and modify shelving and other facility fixtures to meet operational needs.
Carry out plumbing-related tasks and repairs as needed to support facility operations.
Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, leveraging an electrical background to maintain and repair systems safely.
Use mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical skills to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize work to support continuous distribution operations.
Collaborate with operations and other teams to plan and execute maintenance projects within the facilities.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while adhering to facility safety standards and procedures.
Essential Skills
Proven experience as a well-rounded maintenance technician or maintenance engineer in an industrial or distribution environment.
Strong electrical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
Hands-on mechanical repair experience with conveyors, shelving, and related facility equipment.
Ability to work with pneumatics, including troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic components.
Demonstrated troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Capability to perform fabrication tasks, including building and modifying shelving and fixtures.
Experience performing general plumbing repairs and installations within a facility setting.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks within large-scale distribution facilities.
Comfort working independently and taking ownership of maintenance tasks from diagnosis through resolution.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preference for candidates with a strong electrical background.
Experience working in climate-controlled distribution or warehouse environments.
Ability to adapt to new equipment, systems, and facility layouts as operations expand.
Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new maintenance techniques.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
