Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Technician
This role performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on aircraft systems and structures under minimal supervision, ensuring all work meets regulatory and quality standards in a corporate aircraft completion and hangar environment.
Responsibilities
Perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications on fixed-wing or rotary-wing aircraft with minimal supervision.
Communicate effectively to receive, understand, and clarify work assignments and priorities.
Coordinate with internal teams and the Inspection Department to ensure full compliance with FAA and internal inspection and documentation requirements.
Accurately complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and all required documentation in a timely manner.
Assist with shift turnovers by clearly communicating work status, outstanding tasks, and any issues affecting aircraft readiness.
Ensure all work accomplished meets established quality standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
Properly identify and tag customer property and equipment, and store aircraft components and customer items securely and safely.
Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment such as external power carts, hydraulic mules, hydraulic lift platforms, tow tugs, forklifts, and compressed gas cylinders.
Coordinate, accomplish, and assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas, maintaining safe practices at all times.
Provide training, guidance, and support to less experienced technicians to promote skill development and adherence to procedures.
Protect customer property by following Protect the Property (PTP) guidelines and maintaining a high level of care and professionalism.
Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags in accordance with environmental and safety procedures.
Apply 6S and Lean initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean, organized, and free of clutter.
Implement and apply Lean and continuous improvement processes to all areas of responsibility to enhance efficiency and quality.
Use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment correctly, ensuring they are returned to designated storage areas after use.
Comply with all safety rules and procedures, use required protective equipment, and remain alert for unsafe conditions.
Identify and address unsafe conditions before they put people or property at risk.
Use the material tracking system to create parts demands, track squawks and sign-offs, and accurately charge labor to the correct work orders.
Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, which may include participation in flight tests on aircraft as required.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support maintenance operations and aircraft readiness.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 4 years of experience performing maintenance on aircraft.
Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
Experience with aviation maintenance on fixed-wing or rotary-wing aircraft.
Ability to perform moderate to advanced complexity inspections, repairs, and modifications under minimal supervision.
Strong understanding of FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
Ability to accurately complete maintenance documentation, including CMP cards and work order sign-offs.
Proficiency in using material tracking systems to create parts demands, track squawks, and charge labor to work orders.
Knowledge of and adherence to standard operating procedures for operating ground support equipment.
Commitment to safety practices, including proper use of protective equipment and proactive identification of unsafe conditions.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in a corporate aircraft completion center or hangar environment.
Familiarity with 6S and Lean initiatives and continuous improvement processes.
Ability to train and mentor less experienced technicians.
Strong organizational skills to maintain clean and uncluttered work areas.
Experience supporting aircraft certification and final phase testing, including potential participation in flight tests.
Attention to detail in tagging and safeguarding customer property and equipment.
Capability to work effectively on 1st shift or weekend day shifts.
For candidates with military aviation maintenance experience, honorable discharge and ability to provide a DD214 if requested.
Clean motor vehicle record consistent with holding a valid driver's license.
History of compliance with DOT-related drug testing requirements, with no failures to test or failed drug tests under a DOT program.
Ability to begin employment within approximately eight weeks of an offer.

Shifts available include 1st shift and weekend day shifts, providing a set schedule and predictable hours. Safety procedures, use of appropriate protective equipment, and adherence to environmental and handling guidelines for fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvents are integral parts of the daily work environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.86 - $37.86/hr.
