Role summary:

The Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics, leads the development and execution of complex data models and analytical strategies to drive impactful business outcomes. This role partners with senior leadership to identify key challenges and deliver actionable insights that support strategic planning. Responsible for managing cross-functional projects and mentoring a high-performing team, the position ensures the successful implementation of innovative analytics solutions. The role demands strong collaboration across business areas to enhance decision-making, optimize performance, and foster continuous improvement aligned with organizational goals.

About the team:

The team leads Walmart Search's data science and measurement strategy, collaborating with senior leaders to drive business growth. They develop the analytical roadmap for ranking, relevance, and monetization while building an advanced self-serve analytics platform to accelerate insights. The team designs and executes large-scale experimentation programs, including A/B testing across search ranking, user interface, and monetization features. By applying advanced analytics and machine learning, they focus on innovation and impact to enhance customer experience and business outcomes. Strong leadership, project management, and collaboration skills are essential to their success.

What you'll do:

Lead and develop a high-performing advanced analytics team to deliver impactful business insights and solutions.

Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional partners to identify key challenges and develop data-driven strategies.

Oversee the design, development, and implementation of complex data models and algorithms to support business objectives.

Manage end-to-end project execution, including risk assessment, testing, and validation of analytical solutions.

Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to enhance team capabilities and engagement.

Drive continuous improvement by evaluating analytics effectiveness and adopting innovative techniques.

Communicate actionable recommendations to influence strategic decision-making across business areas.

What you'll bring:

Extensive experience in advanced analytics and data analysis to drive strategic business insights and solutions.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.

Strong project management expertise, managing complex projects end-to-end with effective risk mitigation.

Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with senior leadership and business partners to align analytics initiatives with organizational goals.

Expertise in developing and implementing data models, algorithms, and proto@types to support business objectives.

Excellent communication skills to influence, motivate, and inspire commitment across teams.

Commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and continuous improvement in analytics practices.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 4 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 6 years'

experience in data analytics or related field.
