Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test facilities to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, Camp Stanley Storage Activity and serves as IT Specialist (Systems Administration) in the Qualifications Section. Responsibilities Implement, maintain, modify, and integrate existing automation functions with new standard systems and software upgrades. Administer, analyze, troubleshoot and correct network/computer system problems. Install, configure, and repair electronic communication systems, smart board technology and audio-visual equipment, security cameras, and electronic assemblies of gate entry control switches. Maintain and troubleshoot network and application server hardware, operating system software, and peripheral network equipment. Identify adverse network trends and recommends corrective action to improve operational efficiency along with performing maintenance on all systems as needed. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Experience that involves monitoring or updating Firewalls, Local Area Network (LAN) and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) telecommunication systems; Interpret technical data to analyze and devise solutions to complex IT problems; and Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, or mitigation of network related issues using a multitude of tools/techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
