Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This role is a hands-on warehouse position within a chemical distribution plant, focused on preparing, cleaning, labeling, and staging chemical totes and products for safe and accurate shipment. You will support daily warehouse operations by performing general labor tasks, handling inventory, and assisting with production activities to ensure orders are processed efficiently and correctly.
Responsibilities
Wash totes after chemicals are shipped to the plant to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
Clean totes thoroughly, including scraping off old labels and residue.
Correctly label products and re-label totes to ensure accurate identification and compliance with internal procedures.
Complete manual fills of totes and containers as required for outgoing orders.
Stage filled and labeled totes and other products for shipment according to schedule and shipping requirements.
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently using appropriate methods and equipment.
Perform general labor tasks within the warehouse, including picking, packing, and organizing inventory.
Support general production activities to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
Assist with inventory-related tasks such as moving, counting, and organizing products to maintain an orderly warehouse.
Follow all safety guidelines and plant procedures while working in a chemical distribution environment.
Essential Skills
Experience performing general labor tasks in a warehouse or production environment.
Ability to handle inventory activities such as picking, packing, and staging products for shipment.
Capability to load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
Attention to detail to correctly label and re-label totes and products.
Comfort working in a chemical distribution plant and following safety protocols.
Physical ability to perform manual tasks including washing totes, scraping labels, and completing manual fills.
Reliability in maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience with general production or warehouse operations.
Familiarity with picking, packing, and unloading processes.
Willingness to learn new skills and trades within a chemical distribution and industrial environment.
Interest in growing into separate departments and taking on additional responsibilities over time.

Work Environment
This position is based in a chemical distribution plant that operates in a clean and organized warehouse setting. You work on a first shift schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with early departures at approximately 2:30 p.m. on most Fridays. The environment involves general warehouse and production activities such as picking, packing, unloading, and handling totes and other containers used in chemical distribution. The broader organization supports solutions related to water and agricultural applications and maintains over 50 facilities nationwide, contributing to a stable and structured work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fayetteville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
