Job Description
This temp-to-hire Warehouse Worker position is based in a manufacturing warehouse in Westbrook, ME. You will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment that can involve adverse temperatures. The role focuses on material handling, inventory movement, and supporting multiple departments by ensuring they have the materials they need and that finished goods are returned to the warehouse efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
Load and unload materials and finished products in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
Verify quantities of incoming and outgoing products to ensure accurate inventory records.
Use RF scanners to scan products in and out of inventory systems.
Resupply multiple departments with required materials in a timely manner.
Transport finished goods from production areas back to the warehouse.
Perform order picking, packing, and general production support tasks as needed.
Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and, if qualified, forklifts.
Maintain accurate inventory by following established procedures and documenting movements.
Communicate clearly with team members and other departments to coordinate workflow.
Apply basic math skills to count, measure, and reconcile inventory quantities.
Lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or more throughout the shift.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced, physical environment while meeting performance expectations.
Follow all safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards within the warehouse and production areas.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or material handler role.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in English.
Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
Experience working in a fast-paced, physical warehouse or manufacturing setting.
Comfort working in a manufacturing warehouse that may involve adverse temperatures.
Ability to use RF scanners for tracking inventory.
Experience with general material handling tasks such as loading, unloading, and order picking.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Pallet jack experience.
Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or production environment.
Familiarity with inventory systems and inventory control processes.
Prior experience in food manufacturing or food production facilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with a large production and warehouse team.
Attention to cleanliness and organization in a food-related environment.

Work Environment
The facility in Westbrook employs approximately 120 people, with around 80 working in production across the organization. The dress code includes shoes and jeans, and employees are provided with hair nets and smocks to wear while working. The role involves working in adverse temperatures at times and requires comfort with a physical, fast-paced setting. Hours are generally in the early morning, with shifts starting around 6:00-7:00 a.m. and finishing in the afternoon, typically around 3:00 p.m., depending on operational needs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
