Job Title: Warehouse Associate (Warehouse Operations & Driver)
Job Description
This dual-role position combines hands-on warehouse operations with box truck driving for local pick-ups and deliveries. You will support day-to-day logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management, while also assisting with customer deliveries within a local radius. The role is primarily overnight, offering a consistent schedule and the opportunity to grow within a global logistics organization.
Responsibilities
Support local freight pick-ups and deliveries within approximately a 20-mile radius, including ride-alongs to customer locations during the contract period before driving responsibilities begin post-conversion.
Assist with delivery operations by providing professional customer service at customer sites and ensuring freight is handled safely and efficiently.
Review shipment paperwork and verify counts, weights, and dimensions to ensure accuracy and compliance with shipping requirements.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately for shipment, following established procedures and quality standards.
Load and unload trucks and containers using appropriate equipment and safe lifting techniques.
Stage, store, and replenish inventory in the warehouse to maintain organized and efficient material flow.
Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to scan products and maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.
Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle checks to support inventory accuracy.
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity, accuracy, and quality goals.
Essential Skills
Valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.
Prior warehouse or logistics experience in shipping, receiving, picking, packing, or general labor.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as reaching above shoulder level, squatting, and kneeling.
Experience loading and unloading trucks and containers.
Ability to use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar technology to track inventory and shipments.
Comfort operating in a box truck delivery environment and supporting local deliveries.
General forklift and warehouse equipment familiarity.
Strong attention to detail for verifying shipment paperwork, counts, weights, and dimensions.
Reliable work ethic and ability to work day shifts Monday through Friday
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Willingness to undergo MVR screening post-conversion, as required for driving responsibilities.
Ability and willingness to obtain DOT certification during the training period; DOT certification is preferred but not required prior to starting.
1-2 years of warehouse or forklift experience is preferred.
Prior yard truck or CDL experience is a plus.
Comfort working in logistics and third-party warehousing environments that support large corporate supply chains.

Work Environment
The role is based in a newly constructed, very clean warehouse environment that supports modern logistics operations. You will work Monday through Friday, handling freight in a facility designed for efficiency and safety. The work involves regular use of warehouse equipment such as RF scanners, warehouse management systems, and material handling tools, along with exposure to box truck operations for local deliveries. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and safe material handling practices, providing a professional and well-maintained setting for daily work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Plains, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.75 - $25.75/hr.
