Construction Heavy Equipment Spotter - $21-$25 per hour!

Description:

A reputable company is hiring Construction Heavy Equipment Spotters to support large commercial construction projects in Omaha. In this role, you will primarily assist equipment operators on active jobsites by spotting, communicating with hand signals, and helping ensure safe and efficient operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and wants to build a career in heavy equipment-over time, you'll have the chance to learn and operate larger pieces of machinery.

Responsibilities:

Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operators, maintaining clear visual communication at all times

Use standardized hand signals and verbal cues to guide equipment movement safely

Assist with digging, trenching support, and site cleanup using hand tools such as shovels

Maintain safe distances and awareness around moving equipment and active work zones

Help direct traffic and materials on the jobsite to keep operations running smoothly

Perform basic labor tasks to support grading, excavation, and site preparation work

Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or concerns immediately

Assist operators and supervisors with general jobsite needs as required

Essential Skills:

Strong attention to safety and situational awareness

Ability to communicate clearly using hand signals and verbal direction

Willingness to perform physical labor, including digging and working outdoors

Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Prior construction or outdoor labor experience preferred

Familiarity with construction safety practices is a plus

Interest in learning heavy equipment operation over time

Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team

Growth Opportunity:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
