A Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Neuroscience, Applied Mathematics, or another closely related engineering or quantitative discipline is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
Required Knowledge
Advanced understanding of the principles, mechanisms, and applications of non-invasive neuromodulation technologies, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS), transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), Temporal Interference (TI) stimulation, focused ultrasound neuromodulation, shock wave stimulation, and related neural modulation techniques.
Advanced knowledge of human neurophysiology, motor control, neuromuscular function, pain mechanisms, psychiatric, and the neural circuits underlying behavior, cognition, and functional recovery.
Knowledge of multimodal neuroimaging principles and methodologies, including EEG, NIRS, MRI and diffusion imaging techniques.
Familiarity with human-subject research methodologies, experimental design, and statistical analysis.
Required Skills
Demonstrated ability to independently design, implement, and manage complex human-subject research studies.
Strong quantitative data analysis, signal processing, and computational modeling skills, with hands-on experience in neuromodulation technologies (e.g., TMS, tACS, tDCS, TI, and/or focused ultrasound) and multimodal neurophysiological and neuroimaging techniques, including EEG, fNIRS, EMG, MRI, and related neural recording and imaging modalities.
Experience with signal processing, machine learning, statistical modeling, and multimodal data integration.
Strong scientific writing skills, with a demonstrated publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
Ability to contribute to grant writing, particularly NIH-style proposals and progress reports.
Effective verbal and written communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration with engineers, clinicians, and scientists.
