Job Title: Deployment Software Engineer
Job Description
The Deployment Software Engineer role sits at the intersection of controls engineering, data analytics, field operations, and product innovation. You will ensure successful system deployments, optimize site performance, and drive continuous product improvement. This position offers the opportunity to directly influence energy production outcomes while collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, Software, R&D, EPC partners, and customers.
Responsibilities
Configure site-specific control parameters to support reliable and efficient system operation.
Ensure seamless integration of deployed systems with onsite NX SCADA platforms.
Collaborate with Network Engineering, Technical Services, and Field Teams to plan and execute hardware installations.
Coordinate and implement firmware updates across deployed systems to maintain performance and reliability.
Execute software upgrades in a controlled and systematic manner to minimize downtime and risk.
Analyze drone flight data to identify performance trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
Review system performance metrics and translate insights into refined control strategies.
Optimize control strategies to maximize energy yield and improve overall system efficiency.
Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Software, and R&D teams to incorporate field feedback into product enhancements.
Support EPC partners and customers during deployment and post-deployment phases to ensure smooth adoption and operation of systems.
Essential Skills
Experience with SCADA systems, including configuration and integration of control parameters.
Proficiency in configuring and tuning site-specific control parameters for complex systems.
Ability to work effectively with Network Engineering, Technical Services, and Field Teams during deployments.
Experience executing hardware installations, firmware updates, and software upgrades in operational environments.
Skill in analyzing drone flight data and system performance metrics.
Ability to develop and refine control strategies to optimize energy production and system performance.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to work with Engineering, Product, Software, R&D, EPC partners, and customers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Background in system deployment and optimization in industrial, energy, or similar environments.
Experience working with NX SCADA systems or similar supervisory control and data acquisition platforms.
Familiarity with data analytics techniques for interpreting operational and performance data.
Comfort working in cross-functional teams that include engineering, product, software, and field operations stakeholders.
Work Environment
You will work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment that connects engineering, product, software, R&D, and field operations. The role involves close coordination with Network Engineering, Technical Services, Field Teams, and EPC partners to support deployments and ongoing operations. You will interact with NX SCADA systems and related deployment technologies, and regularly work with drone flight data and system performance metrics to guide optimization efforts.

This is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
