Current OIG Employees will remain at their current duty location. As a Information Technology Specialist (DATAMGT), you will: Provide OIG components with comprehensive data analysis support. Work closely with VA and other governmental and private sector agencies to obtain databases and files for OIG use that will improve staff output, provide better product, and increase productivity within the OIG. Coordinate implementation of database designs and modifications of design characteristics in response to complex performance problems, changing customer requirements, or rapidly evolving or constantly changing database systems. Lead project teams in response to requests for data analysis support; plans and coordinates project design, development, and implementation including new data management schema, data structures, and access strategies in alignment with specific requests and overall OIG mission requirements. Specialized Experience for the GS-13, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Performing computer programming using analytics software for working with large data files; AND Applying automated data processing standards and techniques, such as data validation, documentation, program testing, or programming procedures; AND Provisioning, deploying, or utilizing Azure cloud assets, such as Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, etc; AND Coaching or mentoring others on problem solving, work methods, and best practices in database programming. Specialized Experience for the GS-12, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
