Administrative Assistant. Agawam, Massachusetts \$18.00 - \$20.00 per hour Temporary 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Reference number - S_173532 Spherion is seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant, IT to support a fast-paced technology department. This role serves as the key liaison between staff and IT, ensuring all requests are tracked, prioritized, and completed efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrives in a structured, team-focused environment. Responsibilities: Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related requests and inquiries Review, prioritize, and route support tickets to the appropriate IT team members Maintain and update project tracking tools (such as Smartsheet) to monitor progress, deadlines, and deliverables Use Microsoft Excel to track assets, organize data, and maintain accurate departmental records Provide regular status updates and reports to IT leadership Assist in creating clear, user-friendly documentation and \"how-to\" guides for staff Attend team meetings to document notes, action items, and follow-ups Conduct follow-ups with end users to ensure issues are resolved effectively Support overall administrative functions within the IT department Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Skills:Associate\'s or Bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field Previous experience in an administrative or IT support role Familiarity with ticketing systems or project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, ServiceNow) Experience creating documentation or training materials Problem-solving skills and ability to learn new systems quickly Education: High School Experience: 1-4 years Qualifications: Good organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, spreadsheet management) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of IT terminology and systems Reliable, professional, and able to work a consistent onsite schedule High school diploma or equivalent required
