ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (CPPA)

Summary You will serve as an Administrative Support Assistant (CPPA) in the Training Support Department Hawaii (TSD Hawaii) of NAV SUBMARINE TRAINING CTR PACIFIC. Responsibilities You will review service records and extract/add information as needed by the command. You will resolve problems involving the interpretation of drafts, make edits, correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling, and ensure proper formatting. You will maintain documents in electronic file format for easy retrieval using various organizational systems and software to include Microsoft Office and Navy software programs. You will generate, review, and process correspondence such as: memos, letters, reports, messages, evaluations, fitness reports, instructions, notices, and awards. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Creating a wide range of documents that often require complex formats and the use of advanced software functions to meet these formatting needs; 2) Preparing correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other documents using proper grammar, formatting, and attachments in compliance with internal regulations, policies, and procedures; and 3) Demonstrating effective communication both in writing and verbally to obtain and provide information related to various matters within an organization.
