FOREIGN SECURITY ASSISTANCE AND INTERNATIONAL LOGISTICS MANAGER

Summary You will serve as a Foreign Security Assistance and International Logistics Manager in the Plans and Policy Division, Code N5, of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET. Responsibilities You will serve as the Navy International Programs Officer (IPO) liaison for Navy commands in the INDOPACOM area of responsibility. You will apply analytical techniques to develop strategic plans and prepare briefings, information papers, and talking points for staff at conferences or meetings to support security cooperation efforts. You will evaluate current security cooperation plans, operations, and activities, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. You will oversee the COMPACFLT Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, stay informed about FMS equipment, articles, and services, prepare correspondence for regional partner acquisitions, and submit target allocation requirements. You will coordinate with others to identify and execute engagement according to the Theater Security Cooperation Plan. You will manage performance, communicate expectations to your team, support employee development, and address conduct concerns. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and interpreting security assistance laws, policies, and processes; conducting complex operational research; managing financial management, defense acquisition, and international logistics; providing technical advice to high level staff and coordinating with international partners. Education Additional Information This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Pay retention may be granted when certain conditions are met. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
