Location: Phoenix, AZ 85004

Schedule: Hybrid - 4 times a month on-site. Training will be fully on-site; upon completion, you'll be remote 1 day/week.

Employment Type: Temp to hire / 1-month contract with conversion opportunity-possible access to state benefits valued at over $20K+ in compensation, depending on your performance during the first 4-5 weeks on assignment.

What's a typical day as a Legal Assistant II?

You will:

Verify incoming appeals and retrieve accurate exhibits for scheduled hearings.

Enter case documentation into the appropriate repositories.

Assist Administrative Law Judges with legal case research.

Interpret procedures needed for comprehensive research and analysis of case files prior to hearings.

Upload legal decisions and case dispositions so the department can take prompt action.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Prior experience in a legal setting or as a legal assistant preferred.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Proficiency with computers and document management systems.
